# How To Monitor the Network Log Migration With BetterShield?

Follow the automatic move of site records into shared multisite tables without deleting the original data.

In **[BetterShield](/)**, the **Moving the log to the shared tables** card is on **Network Admin › BetterShield › Network**.

## What it does

The migration copies each site's activity log, findings, agent activity, and passkeys into tables the network screens can query. States are **Not started**, **In progress**, **Waiting to retry**, and **Finished**, with **Sites carried over** progress.

It runs automatically in small hourly batches and removes nothing from the original site tables.

## Step 1: Monitor the Network Log Migration

No switch is required after network activation. Keep WordPress scheduled tasks working and monitor the card.

</figure>

## Recommended settings

Allow the migration to finish before relying on a complete cross-site Activity or Incidents view. Investigate a repeated retry state through scheduled-task and database checks.

## What it can break and how to undo

The copy is designed to preserve source data. A stalled migration can leave network views incomplete while site views remain available. Restore scheduled work or database access and let the next batch retry.

## Final Outcome

The carried-over count should rise between hourly runs and eventually reach the total site count with **Finished**.
