BetterShield is a WPDeveloper product from the Startise family. These terms are an agreement between you and WPDeveloper (“we”, “us”, “our”), and they cover your use of bettershield.ai and BetterShield Hub (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
The BetterShield plugins are free software under the GPL, which governs their code. BetterShield Ultra is licensed to you on the terms provided when you buy it.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these terms.
- You’re responsible for your account and for all activity under it, including by people you invite and AI assistants you connect.
- Keep your sign-in methods secure, and keep your account information accurate.
Using the Service
- Connect only sites you own or are authorized to manage.
- Don’t misuse the Service. This includes breaking the law, interfering with the Service or other users, trying to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, and reselling the Service without our permission.
- You’re responsible for your sites, including their security, updates and backups. BetterShield helps you find and fix security problems, but it doesn’t guarantee that a site is secure.
- AI assistants you connect are third-party services with their own terms. Review what an assistant suggests before you approve it.
Fees and refunds
- The Hub is free.
- BetterShield Ultra is sold separately. If it isn’t right for you, ask within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- We may change our prices or introduce paid features at any time. We’ll tell you before charging you for anything.
Our rights
We may, at any time and at our discretion:
- change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service;
- limit, suspend or end your access, including if you break these terms;
- refuse service to anyone;
- update these terms.
Your data
You keep ownership of your data. You give us permission to use it to provide, secure and improve the Service.
Our property
The Service, including its software, its design and the BetterShield name and logo, belongs to us. The plugins’ code remains free software under the GPL.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time by posting the updated terms here. Your continued use of the Service means you accept them.
