How To Request an Audit Explanation With BetterShield?

2 min read

Ask the AI provider connected to WordPress to summarize the current open findings from BetterShield's recorded evidence.

In BetterShield, when WordPress has a compatible AI provider, the Overview can show Your audit, explained with Explain My Audit.

What it does

The request sends evidence for up to 12 open findings to the AI provider connected to WordPress and returns three short paragraphs. BetterShield does not store an AI key or provide a key field. The explanation does not change the audit or the site.

Step 1: Request an Audit Explanation

Use WordPress 7.0 or newer and connect a compatible provider through WordPress. Open BetterShield › Overview and select Explain My Audit. If the card is absent, no compatible provider is currently available.

BetterShield Overview where the audit explanation appears when a compatible AI provider is available.
The explanation belongs on the Overview and uses the findings already recorded there.

Use the explanation as a reading aid. Use each finding’s recorded evidence and What to know first section for decisions.

What it can break and how to undo

The request is read-only. It sends the selected evidence outside the site to your connected provider. There is no site change to undo.

Final Outcome

The card should show the returned paragraphs and cite the findings used. Review usage under Settings › General › Privacy & sharing › Plain-language explanations.

Example Explain an audit view. Check the saved values and status on your own site.

This is how you can request an audit explanation with BetterShield.
