How To Transfer a BetterShield Hub Workspace?

Make another member the owner of a BetterShield Hub workspace and understand the access each person keeps.

In BetterShield Hub, Hand this workspace over on Settings › Team makes another member the workspace owner.

Note: Sign in to your free BetterShield Hub account. Your workspace role and site permissions determine which information and actions you can use.

What it does

The chosen member receives full control of the workspace, its sites, members and settings. The confirmation explains the role the current owner keeps after the handover.

Step 1: Open Settings › Team

Make sure the new owner is already a workspace member.

The current owner can select another member under Hand this workspace over.

Step 2: Transfer a BetterShield Hub workspace

Open Settings › Team.
Under Hand this workspace over, choose the member. No member is selected by default.
Read the confirmation and confirm the transfer.

Recommended settings

Our advice:

Confirm the new owner controls their sign-in email and has a passkey or two-factor set up.
Review site access and alert destinations before the handover.
Keep a written handover record outside Hub.

What it can break and how to undo

The old owner no longer controls ownership-only actions after the transfer. Only the new owner can transfer it back.

The new owner can change or remove other members, including the former owner.

Final Outcome

The chosen member shows Owner in Members.

The former owner shows the role described in the confirmation.
Ownership-only workspace controls are available to the new owner.
