How To Choose Whether to Share Usage Data With BetterShield?
Control BetterShield's optional daily usage report and inspect every field before deciding.
In BetterShield, the switch is under BetterShield › Settings › General › Privacy & sharing › Share usage data.
What it does
When on, BetterShield sends WPDeveloper a short report at most once a day and once on deactivation. It includes the site address and title, administration email, software versions, language, installed plugins, and theme. It does not include visitors, users, passwords, security events, or file contents. What we collect lists the fields used by the report.
The row shows when the last report was sent or why one failed. A failed daily report is tried again on the next daily run.
Step 1: Choose Whether to Share Usage Data
Review What we collect, then turn the switch on. It is off by default. Turn it off at any time to stop future reports.
Recommended settings
Choose according to your organization’s privacy policy. Leave it off when the listed site and administrator details must not be shared.
What it can break and how to undo
The report does not change site behavior. Turning the switch off stops later reports but cannot recall a report already sent.
Final Outcome
When enabled, the row should eventually show Last report sent with a time or a clear failure reason.
On multisite
The report describes the network. Only a super administrator can change the answer.
